Caribou - August 2014
Last fall I fulfilled a bucket list dream by going to Alaska. Went on a caribou hunt on the haul road with a guy who has done it 3 or 4 times now. In 2013 he killed a MONSTER bull. 400+". Right place at the right time. Also went with an older guy from Arizona. So needless to say I had visions...- POk3s

Trip to Alaska
The only thing I would suggest is finding access to a freezer. I did a DIY caribou trip last August. That's all a story for another time but we ended up scoring big time with a guy who just bought a new chest freezer and didn't have anything in it yet. They don't want any kind of ice/dry ice on...- POk3s

2014 Wyoming Mule Deer
Thanks guys. I mentioned one time that I loved big 3's....now I can't get away from 'em! My last 3 bucks have been 3x3's. First one a big, old 3 point....second one a small 3 point on the last day....and then this one as the third. I don't even know what it feels like to kill a 4 point anymore :) -

2014 Wyoming Mule Deer
Thanks for the kind words guys. Definitely not the best scoring deer but an old, horse headed, warrior for sure. The second biggest framed buck in that bachelor herd was a big 2 point. Probably 24" wide. I would've shot him if the big 3 wasn't there. He's only 26 1/2" wide. He just flares... -
