    I live in Dane County and hunt 30 to 60 minutes from home. I would choose from Halloween to November 10th. As Schmalts mentioned being flexible to avoid a block of warm weather would be ideal.

    Just got done eating this neck roast sandwich, crock pot is the way to go for neck roast and shanks. Used to grind them, but will never do that again!

    Car camping meals

    I have a vaccum seal meal for each night that I can easily reheat in boiling water. I don't want to spend a bunch of time for cooking and clean up. Some of regulars are brats, chicken alfredo, ribs, pulled pork, chili, Lasagna and Taco meat.

    Heading out next week to Northeast portion of SD for ducks and pheasants, can't wait! Report from a friend in the area is beans are almost all out and corn is about 50% out. Warm dry weather through the weekend should keep the corn coming out at a good pace.
