Great article, thanks for sharing.
"This report highlighted five reasons sage grouse are in a steeper decline: habitat conversion to cropland, energy development and mining, conifer intrusion, climate change, and cheatgrass fueling more and hotter fires."

3/4 way through ‘Cougar Conundrum’. New release recommended by The Wildlife Society.
Easy read, some interesting points. From the perspective of an advocate. Does talk fondly of hound hunters, whom the author believes can be a big advocate for the species...
I grew up on southern Oregon coast, beautiful area. I would focus on Bandon down to California, weather is a bit nicer and more off the radar, if that’s important to you.
Bandon does get some tourists in the summer but nothing terrible. I really like Langlois, a tiny community a short drive...
No disagreements there. We had an environmental group in my state who helped formulate our wolf plan. It was agreed to delist them once a certain population was reached. When that day came they filed a lawsuit, if I remember correctly, when the state moved to delist part of the wolf population...
That forum needs some fresh air, wow. When one of the most popular threads with 160k views is ‘Green Scam of the Endangered Species act’ I decided it was not a good fit.
Yes, I am more conservation focused. Thanks for saying hi.
@bullbugle307 You are making good points and I appreciate your perspective.

Is there one for extra stupid posts?
Edit: Looks like the picture and post were moved to those threads
I see some of your points, there is a public relations issue with the hunting community. I definitely agree with that.
I don't think you are approaching it from the correct angle, if you are indeed worried about PR. Using the 'Make Great Again' slogan, after the country just witnessed a large...
Have only fished beads for them.
At the spot I was at in Juneau, at the end of one of the roads, I just had a leader, bead, and hook, and would swing it through the desired water. Caught quite a few, a lot of fun.
My favorite Whitetail habitat guy talking about one of my favorite plants - RED OSIER DOGWOOD
R.O.D. is a whitetail magnet, from what I hear. Here in OR it is one of my favorite shrubs. It's native range is much of the United States, so not only is it fantastic deer candy, it also supports...
Anecdotes shouldn't make policy, neither should obscene corporate greed. Or plain greed for that matter.
What does vaccine development and rollout in EU have to do with Americas number one cause of personal bankruptcies? Comparing slow vaccine rollout to ripping people off for simply getting...
