Touch base with your military vets that served in the Sandbox.

They say it’s been 20 years and 2 trillion spent so it’s time to go. Yet it’s been 76 years and we still have troops in Germany (35,000) and Japan (55,000) and there are no issues there actually requiring a US military presence, unlike Afghanistan. Wtf?!?

How often do you change out your bow?

I’m still shooting a Bowtech Old Glory that I have had since 2006. It is still an awesome bow for me after 15 years. I see no reason to change it unless it blows up on me one day, or I drop it out of my stand or something. Prior to the Bowtech, I had a Matthews Z max which I shot for about 5...

    Tikka T3 Question

I have a Tikka T3x superlite in .308. Preferred round with it is Nosler Accubond 150 gr. Super accurate gun without any aftermarket mods. Very happy with it.

Archery opener for deer here in NJ is 4 weeks away on 9/11 this year. 4 weeks after that, heading to WY for rifle elk.

    COVID-19 antibodies detected in whitetails

When I read the article, I thought it was super interesting, as it is pretty rare for a virus to be able to infect cross-species and this one seems to be able to do it no problem. It's rather fascinating actually, and I wonder just how many other species it is circulating in already, such as...

    COVID-19 antibodies detected in whitetails

I have been thinking about this for a while given how broad ranging whitetail populations are, and the proximity to humans, I figured it was just a matter of time before COVID shows up in whitetails. Looks like it has happened. What is most surprising, is that nearly half the samples collected...

Hunting in Maine - What’s the scoop?

Deer hunting Maine is tough. If you move there, I would recommend to head south a few weekends during deer season to hunt different states. Think Jersey or eastern PA for much better deer hunting opportunities than what you can find in Maine.

    New Jersey Bear Hunt Canceled

This is an example of how easy it can be to effectively end hunting. Total BS really, and goes totally against the science. I don’t see another bear hunt coming for a good many years as Murphy is likely to get re-elected in the fall and hell will seriously need to freeze over before he signs a...

    lightweight portable power banks

Also use an Anker (20K mAh) and it works well, but like others, that is my only experience with such chargers.

What can we learn from Cuba?

No question about that. The people are absolutely awesome, but the government they have to deal with certainly isn’t and is what keeps them down and prevents its own people from any future betterment. It’s tragic really.

What can we learn from Cuba?

Honestly, I just don’t buy the video. When I was there in 2018, the slick of filth in the water all around the Cuban coast was unlike anything I have ever seen. Utterly disgusting is how I would sum it up. It’s as if their sewage plants just pump the effluent raw around the coast, literally…

What can we learn from Cuba?

I have a hard time looking at anything from Cuba as something that could be emulated. I’ve been there and it was pretty appalling to see the way people live under the communist regime. I’ll dig up some pics and post later… edit: some pics added

    First hand Covid symptoms

Where is your MD/PHD in virology and immunology from? Folks, please just listen to your physician, not deadly antivaxx advice like this. Diet and exercise are great, but do nothing to save you from a virus. Take it from someone who lost a healthy 35 year old colleague to this shit virus.

    First hand Covid symptoms

In medical school there is a term called “expert syndrome” where some students think that after learning one unit of e.g., orthopedics, cardiology, etc. that they are experts on it. These people then go around dispensing advice to themselves or others or family members, when they really have no...

    Montana.

Can’t stand Tucker Carlson. I actually believe he does have blood on his hands with the constant vaccine misinformation that he spews. I don’t know how he lives with himself. A disgusting human being really. and by the way, I don’t think Tucker is really a conservative or anything for that...

    Montana elk general

My experience in Montana with my out of state plates has been quite the opposite. Folks have been generally very friendly and on numerous occasions have even thanked us for coming to the state, spending high $ on tags and contributing to the local economy. Last year, our camp neighbors stopped...
