I have a Remington Model 600! I bought it on Gunbroker.com and it came from Kalispell Montana. I tried to find out it’s history, but the dealer said he got it from an older guy that was moving to Florida. He had no contact info on the guy.
The gun came with a metal replacement vent rib on...

I've reloaded 200 40 S&W. Some 6.8 SPC's and may start some 223's. I got tired of my old workbench top where I reload, so I cleared if off and put 1/2" plywood over the top. Just finished with 3rd coat of polyurethane finish on it this AM. I have a shelving unit above the bench for manuals...
I built a few rods about 30 years ago. They came out well, however, like you asked - the issue is getting the right blank! One rod was a 9 ft spinning rod for salmon. Used a fiberglass blank (cheaper!). It could be used for a club! Too stiff & heavy.
Next rod was a 6 ft spinning rod for...
I haven't handloaded them, but love the factory loads for my 284 hunt talk and 308! They have shor well and even the best of my trials for 243, 7-08, 308, 6.8 SPC, 280 & 7mm Rem Mag.
I have both and have used both. The Space Rain Gear (SRG) is a very good value for the money IMO. Its compact & light so that you can always have it with you in your pack. It doesn't do well fighting against stuff like rose thorn or raspberry bushes. Mine has a few pieces of duct tape on the...
I just saw your comment about whether I had a Model 7 in 7mm SAUM for sale. Unfortunately, no, I don't have. I own the one and I'm keeping it! It shoots very well, doesn't weigh a ton and has a Leupold 3.5-10 VX3i with CDS on it. It shoots great too! Good luck in your search...

Spott Hogg 5 pin sight set at 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60. I have practiced back to 80. Like others, shooting at longer ranges shows form or tuning issues. Shooting at far distances is fun, as long as you have a big enough backstop in case things.... don't go as planned! ;-(
I own a new Model 7 HS Precision in the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber. It finally arrived just before deer season here. I mounted a Leupold VX 3i 2.5-8 on it with Talley mounts. The very first group I shot after sighting it in was 3/4" with Remington 140 grain Core Lokt ammo. I'll eventually reload...
You had a hangfire. As others have mentioned, a hangfire can have multiple causes. Damp powder leads the way, blocked flame path in the breech plug, oil contamination of powder and more.
Many recommend Blackhorn 209, however that powder has cost me at least 2 deer. In my Traditions Vortek...
I would make a decision based upon their intended usages. Is one rifle more intended for target shooting and the other for varmints? Or if they have the same intended purpose, which rifle is more accurate? Its easier to bunch bullets into the same hole with higher magnification!
In all...
