Making the ferry to Hollis at Ketchikan?
The ferry from the airport island to the city departs every 30 minutes, so you'd need to be sure to catch the 3:00 ride or you'll be there until 3:30. On my trips, luggage has been ready to pick up very quickly. Getting a taxi to take you from the airport to the ferry terminal is a big unknown...- Paul in Idaho

Tell me why this is a bad idea
Yes, I have used my ice shelter for elk hunting more than ice fishing. It works well on most hunts. I can have camp set up in less than 15 minutes including my cot and sleeping bag. Water and heat management can be difficult in some situations. Have a tarp in case it rains, and a towel or...- Paul in Idaho

Examples of nice elk mount with 8ft ceiling limitations
This thread reminded me of the cover of this old Ed Zern book. Might need some minor ceiling modifications to fit a big bull ;) More realistically ... I like some of the pedestal mounts that have been posted here.- Paul in Idaho
