Not like our extra long seasons aren't an issue or anything. Caught me on a bad to day see this post.
Kill em all.
Do I like seeing 5 non residents hunting the same area I am for 2 months straight? No but they can do that. Do I think they are the problem? I think we have much bigger issues (and...
While I am happy about some of the wins, I can't quite shake the disappointment I have for some expansion of cow opportunities in the units and region I am more familiar with. Every region is different but in these places, in my opinion, cows don't need to be shot on public. It's just...
Opportunity is cheap if we impact the populations so bad that there's few or nothing left.
I keep hearing the phrase "without hurting the resource" and I'm starting to think that phrase is pretty subjective.
"Our management is working" (we have an abundance of elk)
"when you remove the biologists from the discussion, you remove the community from the discussion"
"Just remember we are the most successful fish and wildlife management program in the nation in my opinion and our success should not be...
Interesting to hear Tabor say that they can't just wait, that they have to make decisions.
At the same time, that doesn't mean they should just make decisions just to make them. There should be a better understanding of the decisions and different groups being heard.
Did Worsech really just...
Some things are just too important to give up on even if it does feel like insanity at times.
So was the previous elk group just making too much sense or something? Also, didn't hunters already solve all the problems when they emailed a bunch of solutions and ideas to the department? Must have...
So the problem isn't the new landowners but rather the problem is the response and solutions to the issues that these landowners end up creating? Am I understanding that right?
I wonder what Worsech's answer is to all the biologists and others resigning.
I may have heard wrong but I'm pretty sure Worsech said we would win the lawsuit but that they would just continuously be sued and it's not worth it. I guess it's not worth it when you're not in favor of the public...
Good podcast. I appreciated the more neutral tone and letting Worsech explain his side and interactions with landowners. The access discussion was really interesting. The power of the Commission was really highlighted but I can't help but think about who is still responsible for the proposals...
So there's some new changes put together now for the Commissioners to vote on. What about the public comment?
Thanks to BHA for getting the information out.
