I've had a few once in a lifetime tags too. Including a giant bull elk last year.
I get complete pass throughs the majority of the time with Bergers.
Best bullet out there.
I've never pointed one either. I've actually never even inspected the tip of one. Just load and shoot. The few recovered bullets I have found look just like Brockel's. Most are pass throughs though. Like I said earlier, I've had phenomenal results with them and have easily shot well over...
I've shot Bergers since 2007 I believe. 7mm, 168-gr. VLD's.
Probably 20 or so elk and a pile of other critters including a couple XL black bears. Anywhere from under 50 to 1,000+ yards. Best bullet I've ever used by a long ways.
I've never experienced the "meat loss" that others speak of...
I heard back from mine directly (Rep. Carlson), I've never met her but she lives about a block away. She said she checked with several folks this morning, and there was no plan to blast. Said she would keep an eye out for it and get caught up on the amendments.
Whatever you guys need to tell yourself. Outfitters are the only ones' that I have ever heard say this. And they continue to do so....over.....and over...and...it makes you look silly.
If WY wants to continue to be so generous as to give me a shot at 20% of their pronghorn tags, I will take that deal in a heartbeat and shut up.
Who am I to care if a WY resident has 1 or 5 buck tags...their state, their antelope, their decision. I'm grateful for 20% and will hunt there as...
Hopefully they get a bit "louder" then. I received an email back from (2) committee members just yesterday, both saying they have heard nothing from RMEF.
Well done Gerald, Randy and others. You guys were impressive.
MOGA...not surprising. Just adds to their shitty reputation.
That is one thing that really pissed me off, listening to the committee hearing. They sounded annoyed that they received so many comments. Seems like it almost had the opposite effect. Makes you wonder, what's the point sometimes.
One of my main takeaways after catching up on this thread tonight..... It’s a damn good thing that the MOGA Application process does not include a math test.
This is awesome.
I've got my 2021 season all planned out already. Spend archery season in the Elkhorns looking for 350"+ bull. If I don't find what I'm looking for, I'll take the first week of rifle and try to get er' done in 410. If I still can't make it happen I'll take 2-weeks in...
This is awesome. Well done.
I was hoping I didn’t miss your Utah hunt.
next time I draw a good tag you are invited... if nothing else, for your beer selection and camera skills. Great photos!
Lots and lots of high quality fish oil. Limit sugar as much as possible and (cough, cough) beer. You could try CBD oil...I've heard great things, but depending on your work you may pee hot in a drug screen. I would try it if I could.
I struggle with the same in my knees and shoulders and...
