    The MVA tang sight you linked is the one I had in mind. The gunsmith I worked with was speaking highly of them. That is a thumb extension on the hammer. My granddad had it on there. I haven't decided if I'll leave it on or not.

    I've shot a few elk with Federal partitions in 150 grains out of my .270. Worked just fine.

    Dog got sprayed by a skunk

    A bird hunting friend and a vet both told me they keep a can of barbasol shaving cream in their trucks. Slather it on the sprayed area and it is a good initial treatment until you get home. I've never tried it myself, just the peroxide and baking soda solution.
