Harvesting Elk Calf
A half dozen or so calves have come home with my clan over the years from our late season cow hunts. Some friends the same thing. I normally agree with most things you write, but tenderness and flavor of a late season calf cannot be beat IMO. -

If this is was in Wyoming it's illegal. No matter how wounded it was, you killed it. When you left the kill site without filling your tag, you broke the law. -

With splitting deer licenses, each species would be managed entirely separate. That given, a hunter could apply for both. Obviously, that would put more applicants in each pool, making already low odds type 1 tags even harder to draw and the present type 3 whitetail seeing a drastic decrease in... -

Big rain
Not sure where they do the official measurement, but an open cooler and a 5 gal bucket in my backyard both had almost 3 inches in them after Thursday night. Then we got over an inch in Friday's repeat.- JM77

I've been in Casper since 1st grade and that's a long time ago. It's definitely not the same town it was 30 years ago, but I have too many ties here with family and property to think about leaving.
