Swarovski Z3, Zeiss Conquest V4, or Leupold VX5?
Application is western big game and occasional whitetail. 300wm. Functionality and reliability are priorities over weight. Leaning Swarovski just because of the name.
Let the mudslinging and eye gouging of the optics thunderdome begin!
Not a fan of the Ford 10R80 transmission. 10spd that when it works it is great. But it is a problematic automatic. Mine had to have E&F clutches rebuilt at 38k. Thankfully warranty was honored. GM has the same transmission but goes by a different number. One of those co-developed projects to...
Thread bump. Bought one of these things about two months ago. So here we go...
I was looking for a replacement for our secondary vehicle, which was an 09 Mercury Mariner.🤮 . Generally I've been a Ford guy and our secondary vehicle doesn't get used as much as I'm either working or with the fam...
Both. At least the way I see it.
Elk draw odds are low.
Deer draw odds better but I didn't think the harvest rates were stellar on deer. Are the hunters who draw deer tags on controlled hunts passing on non-trophies?
Also if you have a chance to get a haircut there I highly recommend it. Phenomenal. Makes barber shops here look really bad. Not that the Ibex will care.
Never hunted there. Did a summer there back in college. Southern Spain though. It looks a lot like West Texas. Remember the Spaghetti westerns? In the cities at the time our biggest concern was pick pocketing. Kid comes up from the front trying to bum a Euro, meanwhile his buddies snatch your...
I'm seriously considering a cow elk meat hunt in the near future, provided I could obtain a tag. Yep, NR. Anyone know the difference between an "Agent" (pg 33 NM R&I BG&T 2023-2024) and a licensed outfitter? I'm NOT looking to backpack after my dream bull. Mission objective is to fill freezer...
I enjoy keeping a clean cut yard, but don't care for any supplemental upkeep. Seems wasteful and unnecessary. More water & fertilizer just means more cutting. More cutting means more cost in fuel & wear/tear on the mower and more of my valuable time wasted. I like a clean mowed look, but I'll...
I have to ask purely bc I'm having trouble grasping the seriousness of this....
So in total special draw I can expect to pay $1834 just for the tag? Don't call me Shirley.....
Was the ejector problem fixed on the savage 110s? Or is it still a known issue? Is the ejector problem less likely on the higher end 110s? Like the ultralite, timberline, high country etc?
Ok. So I'm a bit dense of these things as I'm new to the issue of tags etc. Once you've entered the draw, what determines where you'll hunt? Does the awarded tag have an area designation? Or is that another draw one must enter?
