    Binos that work with glasses

A buddy of mine went through the trial and error with this and he may chime in. He looked at quite a few different pairs and as I remember not all were created equal on eye relief. In the end a couple of pairs seemed to do better with his glasses. I think they were the Zeiss Conquest HDs and...

Interesting. I am not a handloader, but am interested in getting into it someday.

    Safe queen

    Pardon my ignorance, but I am curious. 30-06 > .280 Rem > .280AI > 30-280AI. Wouldn't that just be a 30-06AI?

    Montana 2024 Ram

Gorgeous ram, Buzz! Randy kept me posted on your adventure through the summer/fall; sounds like it was one hell of a tag. Couldn't be happier for you and the future of the sheep in the unit.

A bigger OBJECTIVE LENS means more light (the reticle is the black lines you see when you look through it that are used to align with the target), and higher magnification reduces light transmission. The reason large objective lenses aren't always good are they force you to mount your scope...

PSA - New Sig Sauer Zulu6 HDX Pro's Are Trash

In varying degrees, yes, but they still don't carry M17s The distrust comes from the fact that they undercut the competition for government on price not performance. It also comes from the fact the my issue P320 after a thousand rounds or so, comes out of battery all the time (slide goes back...

PSA - New Sig Sauer Zulu6 HDX Pro's Are Trash

The other thing I will say about the SIG M17 (P320), is that since the Army has adopted it, SOCOM units that have the latitude to do their own thing, have spent the money to buy Glocks. I trust their judgement way more than Sigs marketing team....

PSA - New Sig Sauer Zulu6 HDX Pro's Are Trash

I am meh about the P365. I do not like or trust the P320 (I never thought I would say I want my Beretta back). The SPEAR is too early to tell, but I don't trust SIG and how they have learned to game the DoD procurement process.

PSA - New Sig Sauer Zulu6 HDX Pro's Are Trash

The last things that Sig came out with that were actually high quality were the P220/226/229/232 and 552 rifle. Since then it has all been gimmicks and marketing. Of the $1600 those things cost, how much of it do you actually think when into the glass?

    Stalking out turkey

Not knowing the type of area you are hunting. I would spend a couple of sessions scouting versus hunting. Turkeys are pretty patternable, with their daily routines largely tied to the best food available at the moment. My experience is, if left undisturbed, they kind of run a daily track. Try...

    WTB: Leupold 2.5-8x36

Just for funsies, I did some “Guns and Ammo” type testing down in Texas with the boys last winter. Shot one with the Skinners and the other with the scope. I am not going to lie, it is a fun and not too expensive grocery trip/boys weekend. Damn tasty too…

Real happy with how this ended up. The scope was just like new, and mounted up really easy.

    WTB: Leupold 2.5-8x36

I have the skinner sight zeroed at 100, and the current scope (VX-3 1.5-5) zeroed at 160yds (+2.5" at 100 and -4" at 200). I would have stuck it out with the 1.5-5, but given big woods beer hunting can be a low light afair, I thought a little more light gathering would be a good idea. I killed a...
