Accountant cost
No longer have a business but sold our last property down in Cali (we live in OR) this past year, our accountant filed our Fed, OR state, and CA state for $650 total. Been using her for the past four years but I'll probably go back to doing it myself for 2024.- MarvB

What are you currently reading?
Appears there to be 5-6 books in the series Ken, I've read the first two now. Basis is a US Marshal catching evil doers in Alaska, evidently the author (Marc Cameron) is ex-US Marshal's Service so stories seem to flow believable enough.- MarvB

My pickled eggs are very similar to @westbranch recipe, though I toss in some peppercorns and and also dump any leftover pepperoncini juice into the brine. Yummmm, that and a couple of stouts and dont get downwind! I'm a fan of about anything spicy, been buying these two items of late to throw...- MarvB

Just finished "Malheur August" by JJ Minor... was so-so, and now for mindless entertainment, I'm beginning Marc Cameron's series that features Arliss Cutter. Kinda along the lines of a Joe Pickett but a bit less clumsy.- MarvB

Hawaii- the Big Island to do’s?
@Sytes Well we didn’t do any fishing this last trip but we did the have a great time playing tourist on the Big Island. The wife’s parents were both native of Hawaii (they’re about 90% Portuguese) Couple of things I can suggest- If you do like diving/snorkeling catch one of the manta ray...- MarvB

Been doing Search and Rescue work for the Sheriffs Dept and this has been the "season of the idiot" to some degree; last year we had 14 total call outs, this year we are at 35 to date and the snow hasn't begun to...- MarvB
