    H4895

I could probably make it work-- they are just about next to each other on the burn rate chart-- but my understanding is that the IMR is quite a bit more temp sensitive than the Hodgdon. I can bide my time for a little bit.

    Safe queen

Remingtons want to be a Tikka when they grow up. How about a .338-06 or a .35 Whelen?

    H4895

Fully understand H4895 is about as obtainable as fairy dust right about now, but if anyone has a pound or two to spare within a 12 hour drive of the front range I'd be interested in buying it. Face to face only.

My name is Larry and I MAY have a problem.......

25 gang represent! I’ve been very seriously pondering a 25-7PRC for my next build. Should be able to attain low Earth orbit with the Hammer 127 HHTs.

what is the best 300 Win Mag brass?

I've not reloaded .300 WinMag but, in other calibers I've used (in order of preference): Norma, Hornady, Nosler (poor experience with 6.5 Creed, great with .257 Ackley), Starline, literally anything else, Winchester. Just loaded a batch of 6.5 Creed in Lapua LRP that I'm excited to give a try.

    Found one

Strong, strong recommendation for the Pure Precisions (formerly Mesa Precision). Have one on a CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor and another on a custom .338-06.

    Recovered bullets

What was your MV? Hoping to get to post something similarly come January but out of a .257 Ackley.

    Let’s talk about the 243win

Probably need to set the barrel back a scooch but that sounds like a sweet rig.

    Let’s talk about the 243win

How do you plan on twisting it?

    Let’s talk about the 243win

Always felt like the 6Rem got shortchanged. Properly twisted, should have been able to beat .243 by 100-200fps with heavies. An AI version would be *real* interesting.

    Let’s talk about the 243win

In that case, you might try the 75gr. Hammer HHT cruising at a cool 3600-3700fps.

    Let’s talk about the 243win

Tikka has started twisting their .243 Win barrels 1:8 to better accommodate heavier-for-caliber 6mm projectiles. Will be a little bit slow still for the really long bullets but the Hornady 103gr. ELD-X or Berger 108gr. Elite Hunter doing about 3000fps should be hellfire on any deer or pronghorn...

    Howa superlite 308 ammo suggestions?

44.0gr. Varget under any reasonably-shaped 150gr. softpoint or polymer-tipped lead core projectile has been the cheat code for me in .308. YMMV.
