    Weight Loss Drugs

My aunt (who was born in the 30s) had a doctor in the early 50s prescribe her smoking and sex for her “mental issues” and recommended she buy a tanning bed to cure her “lack of color and winter blues.” The old USDA food pyramid has the same ratio of carbs/fats/protein as fattening livestock...

Little things that bother you. OCD or poor design?

Several things bother me. Start with hole spacing. Do not like the amount of mount real estate past the screws. I know it doesn’t matter but bugs me. Never mind the screw heads not lining up, what really bugs me is the use of slot screws in a base.

    Hunting by yourself

The gutless video is extremely helpful. Watch it a bunch and you will be fine. I cut up my first two elk back to back on a mountain side (buddy and I both shot one out of a group at the same time). They a big, but they are built like any other four-legged creature and cut-up just like one. I...

    Banff in a Week

HT, I am heading Banff on 9/30 for a quick trip. Arrive around 5pm local time on Monday 9/30 and leave around noon on Thursday. Have a couple small work obligations Tuesday and Wednesday but otherwise have a lot of flexibility. Any must do things? Restaurants? Shorter hikes (under 4 hours)...

    Ballistic Help

That’s my next shooting foray. I’m not close to a 300yd range and ran out of daylight. I’m going to start at 100 with the 250yd zero and work back to 300. I will say I have always been around 2-3in high at 100 over 8 years of shooting this exact setup. So I don’t anticipate a big swing...

    Ballistic Help

Yes velocity is confirmed and ammo is consistent. I actually bought a case when I landed on this load because of your concerns above. So it’s all from the same lot. Also I appreciate everyone’s help in trying to problem solve. I do want to point out that ultimately the problem is that I...

    Ballistic Help

Yes. Shooting at exact elevation. Although I am shooting at 85 vs 35 degrees. But temp has small impact at 300.

    Ballistic Help

Not following. It’s zeroed at 250. The mystery is how does it hit 7in higher at 300 than at 250 with 1moa of elevation.

    Ballistic Help

3ish at 250 and 4ish at 300. Sitting at a folding bench with a pack in the front and my fist under the rear stock to control up and down. Nothing changed other than 50 more yards and 4 1/4moa clicks

    Ballistic Help

Yes. It was two has marks (hash marks are 25yd increments). But it was 4 clicks to cover the two hash marks. Naturally the farther out you go, the more space between hash marks so the more clicks as range increases.

Yes everything. Bullet speed. BC. Elevation. Average temp during hunting. Average humidity. Scope height. Bullet weight.

    Ballistic Help

Hoping some of you better than me at this sort of thing can help! After years of hunting the exact same setup, I finally decided to get a custom turret cut for my scope. It’s a Burris Veracity 3-15x50 on a Weatherby Vanguard 300WM. Load is Barnes factory 165 TTSX. I have chronographed this load...
