I thought this was particularly interesting because a guy at a recent RMEF volunteer project said something to the effect of, "It seems like RMEF isn't doing much in CO." Well, here ya go.
Because politics. If you vote for my pillaging of land in ND, I'll vote for you pillaging of federal land in AK.
Also, most constituents in other states don't care about a few thousand acres in ND, their congressmen can trade it away with little repercussion...unless enough of us make it...
I don't know why I had the thought in my head that "guzzlers are unnaturally attracting wildlife and just seem weird." Now I get it. The sheep can't survive on the natural water sources without some help because we (humans) have screwed it all up (cattle, feral horses, etc). Thanks for a...
Us folks outside ND own the BLM land as much as those who live there. This is not a ND issue. It's a federal lands issue. I let my US Congressional reps know how I feel about it via the BHA link.
I stopped at the APR visitor center in Lewistown on my way home from a vacation (trip highlight was seeing a family of otters swimming, hunting, feeding right down the beach from our river-front camp site).
When I first walked into the APR visitor center, the young lady at the desk noticed my...
If someone genuinely cannot understand how obnoxious a drone is, then I can't explain it to you and your ignorance explains why it it has to be codified.
English is hard. He launched, flew, and landed the drone while he and the drone were within the Wilderness (5 miles from the Wilderness boundary), ie, it's not like he accidentally flew across the boundary.
This guy launched, flew, and landed his drone (visible on the blanket in the foreground) from a point 5 miles inside the Bridger Wilderness. When I approached him, he and his lady friend were acting almighty nervous, but when I confronted him, he said "I didn't see a sign." I sent the pics to...
We heard a bull, I think, just across the highway from Wiseman where we parked in a gravel pit and hiked upstream a half mile or so. We ran out of light and had to start driving back to Fairbanks the next day. Some neat ruins from miners in there too.
We were in a truck (Uhaul actually) and just tent camped in random spots along the way. Some gravel pits, other spots were just side roads, etc. We only ever saw a cow and calf, lots of bears. The signs just outside of Wiseman were a little confusing, because obviously you can drive into...
WyoFile Story on HB 147
I have heard from several people (on this forum, I think) about this issue. Is the threat of enforcement enough to discourage the practice? Or has no one reported actual cases of it happening?
Nothing sandwich. Someone that is all worried about this, please do some research and report back: How many of the reported CJD deaths in the US have been venison eaters and compare that to the % of general population that eats venison.
Attend Sportsmen's Day at the Capitol & Get Latest on an Anti-Hunting Ballot Measure
With so many prominent issues to be decided the final month of Colorado’s legislative session, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation would like to invite you to Sportsmen’s Day at the Capitol on Thursday...
If there was ever a guy who deserved to have his phone and address provided to the animal rights extremists...this is him. WY law prohibits FOIA regarding wolf (predator?) kills, but does it protect animal cruelty infractions?
