    I would change the parameters in the calculator and put 1.5 for the scope height which is fairly standard and see how you compare. It's just math and doesn't require shooting. As others have noted, 2.25 is very high it will impact your dialing.

    I think the problem is the focus is on the person who shot the animal instead of the animal. If you never hunt where the huge ones are, you'll never kill a huge one. Killing a record doesn't make you a great hunter or a bad hunter. Kind of a shame that people are so driven to break all rules...

    Ecoboost has the complication of a turbo which is probably worth it if you drive at elevation. If you trade while vehicles are in warranty, I'd go 3.5. Otherwise, I'd go v8 unless you are at elevation.

    That's not a surprise. Try hunting boards or FB. Post and ask if someone works in the area you will be hunting. Or, call the guides in the area you will hunt and ask.

    Welcome to the SEC, Oklahoma. Some of the hits were classic SEC hard hits like this one. I think GA/Bama could be won by either one. My guess is GA is going to have two weeks of intensity after what they did at KY. I don't know if Bama will be up that much or not, so I think GA will win.

    I'd go with 7mm Mag. It has quite a bit more power than the 6.5 PRC but doesn't kick like the 300 Win Mag. The 7mm Mag ammo is obviously easier to buy for less money than the 6.5 PRC as well.

    You might be surprised how cheap you can get a Browning/Beretta used. Do take a look. I agree that fit is very important if you want to have more hits. Well, unless you are like two of my old hunting partners that hit everything no matter what gun you gave them.
