Congrats! I've helped him before on a buffalo pack out and let me tell you there's a lot o' Carne on them bad boys. Good luck fellas hopefully you're close to the truck.
I've been thinking about this situation and what could of been. I wonder if guides try to cover situational examples with these greenhorns prior? Like what if situations. I've wondered if the client would of merely fired a few rounds off, would it of spooked the bear? Gotta try something. I...
Another great ram! Congrats Ivan. I'm missing being there. Something about the misery and the true hunt that it is just never leaves you. I'm hoping to be a packer next year.
What's the debate on this ^^?
Crittergitters friend saved his life from a grizzly attack with this stuff according to the air medics that pulled him off the mountain. Just curious if there is something I'm missing?
Dang that’s a bad deal. Really should implement a buddy system on something like that. Might not of stopped the fall but maybe saved him assuming he was still alive. Prayers for the family
Yep Buckhorn plantain. Not Timothy. Wish I lived closer I'd give you a nice cocktail to use. :). Spray now and then around the 2-3 week in October. You'll see half the number next year.
Plantain will have a big Broad Rough-leaf like you see in this picture. Usually the Seed stem don’t reach higher than 3 to 4 inches. The ones in your picture are way taller than that. Like I said follow the seed down to the base and look at the leaf structure if it looks like a grass it’s a...
Take a picture of the leaves for me. Those tall seed heads at top look like Timothy to me that is maturing and dropping If there is no broadleaf at the base of that plant you’re concerned about then it is a grass and I’m talking not wider than a half an inch
When I called last year wondering why all the bear traps in the area and what the results were the biologist simply said be extra careful in there. They caught 12 in 2 weeks. Good luck. It’s hard to have fun looking over your shoulder IMO. Hope you have some success
My goat from last year. Just pray we don’t get as much snow as last year. I almost went without. Shooting a goat isn’t too hard but shooting a nice one I found out is really hard. I ended up buying new optics after this hunt because without them I would’ve never found this goat. Good luck
Was shooting out at the range next to "Carl" on here. He's an amazing competitive shooter. I noticed him dry firing 4 or 5 times before he shot. This tip alone has helped me settle down and make good shots. I've used it on my wife and kids and without fail their first dry fire they flinch or...
Those crocs are a treat in it's self when you get to where you can soak your hot feet in the water. I won't leave home with out them. I hate wearing my boots around camp plus I fit in with the local "Nolas"
Ha! you know me too well. Thanks for the ideas. I'll incorporate some of them for sure in the future. It was a good weekend. I took powdered gatorade, summer sausage, and meat sticks as my treat on this trip.
