I would imagine their numbers would still be fairly low and their distribution would look similar to today's elk herds, existing mostly in mountainous terrain where it's either protected by law or harder for civiliation to completely take over. I once read that a subspecies of mountain bison...
Only elk and deer applications for me this year. I drew Barbary last year and had fun but it wasn't the quality of hunt that I was expecting so I think I'll save money for Texas. Good luck everyone!
Based on the stickers and lumber in the bed of the truck these guys are either on their way to play beer pong or partake in some backyard wrestling. Probably both.
This exact scenario happened to me hunting them OTC a few years ago. Spotted a single sheep from 2 miles away and when I was within 1/2 mile I relocated her and saw the lamb. Took some pictures and moved on.

At the 2:30 mark of this clip I like how Chris Farley's character kills a hog and instantly has some bacon. 😅
The Edge has some great scenes in it too. If you weren't amazed that they killed a grizzly with a spear, you had to be impressed with the vest and jacket they made from the hide using...
I suspect that one day in the future the media hunting personalities of today will be spoken of in the same regard as the market hunters of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The same market hunters that wiped some species off the face of the earth and pushed others to the brink of extinction...
