Looks exciting, as usual! Can't wait to get it!
There is a typo on the back jacket cover, however,....2nd to last paragraph, "SEAON" - although as an engineer, my spelling has been known to be questionable and has often been corrected.
Not surprised and yet another step up the growing ladder of disappointment. And the state legislature doesn't exactly hide what their future ambitions for the public lands are, if they controlled it.. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=utah+house+resolution+san+rafael
Really sorry to hear about that, Randy. Losing a good dog is always hard, but we are so much richer than if we had never let them in our lives. I truly feel sorry for those that have never felt that. It's not original, but whenever I get mad at my lab, I try to remember what I was advised a...
I have both Wyoming and Sven saws. For me, it seems like the Sven saw is too "wiggly" and binds up some. The Wyoming saw is what has lived in my pack for the last couple of decades.
Add another vote for a AZ Coues deer hunt - but, given enough AZ deer points, I'd opt for a late December hunt - much more active bucks and a great time to be in southcentral AZ.
Getting to know you somewhat this past fall, I am not surprised at the least by your generosity. We try to do much the same, although we still "cave" and buy the kids and other close family members gifts (although sometimes it has been "given in your name...."). My wife's Christmas gift for...
Well, this is finally the other Randy (apparently one of the many other Randys on Hunt Talk - but the one who had the incredible fortune of hunting with Randy (#1) on the late AZ elk hunt).
I know I am a bit late in posting this, but I'll plead guilty owing to the onslaught of grading finals...
Wow, talk about a timely and helpful thread. I'm going in for a total right knee on Dec. 16th. I'm "only" 55 and have been struggling with OA for the past several years and the Doc's have been saying replacement was in my near future - both knees eventually. The decision was made for me in...
Happy Birthday and welcome to the dark side. And hang on to that AARP card, you get discounts at most hotels - that's why my wife finally caved and admitted the inevitable.
You do make it so the reader shares in the pace and frustrations of the adventure! Congratulations on a challenging hunt and good luck to Matt on the remaining days.
Pecos rams tend to be very pretty and carry their mass well - just like this guy! However, their initial bases are usually not as heavy as they appear - note how far apart the bases are. I'll guess 178"
Second on the CMR museum - but growing up in GF, I've always been a fan. No one has really mentioned the incredible fishing on the Missouri between Holter Dam and Craig.
I am assuming you are talking about antelope. If so, I have hunted it several times in the early 2000's, then again last year after a multi-year layoff for hunting in other areas (it was our 3rd choice last year). We always hunted on a place called the Rimrock Ranch, right off Poison Spider Rd...
