    I have to second the lab recommendation. Great dogs and very protective of their homes and owners. Their only drawback if you can call it that is you cannot keep anything on a coffee table. A labs tail will even send full coffee cups flying. Don’t ask how I know.

    At the speeds they load those PPU any elk under 300 yards would be in serious peril. The Vulcans are awsome through and through on all game so far and you can eat right up to the hole.     I also have that rifle in the same caliber. For deer I load 232 grain Norma Vulcan bullets for hogs I use plain old PPU 285 grain soft nose factory rounds. I have recently loaded some 250 grain accubonds but have not used on game yet. I shot a 5.5 inch group at 400 yards with them. I love that...
