Sporstmans Warehouse, What Happened?
Cheyenne doesn't have much of an ammo section anymore and their prices seem to have gone through the roof ( but thats everywhere). I usually make the 1 hour drive to scheels in Johnstown Co for anything I need. Love that place.- Wyhunter

Hit/lost bull
They can sure go a long ways on a gut shot if thats the case. Blood will be hit or miss. Try to find an area where he may have jumped a fence or deadfall/elevation change to get the blood to come out again. Smell the blood where you found it and see if it has a gut kinda smell to it. Like stated... -

Need advice
Elk move a lot. If you aren't seeing fresh sign, they probably aren't where you are hunting, or at least have a lower population density than before. Continue to look for fresh sign especially near water or potential bedding areas. Doesn't make sense to focus on elk where there currently aren't... -
Wyoming unit 52
Same area I shot mine in that unit. I came in from NF side. My tag was a type 2, southern portion of the unit only. -
Someone got lucky
Man... I drive 20 miles down a dirt road, hike back in 6 miles into a canyon, haul a truckload of gear, all just to shoot small raghorn and hate my life choices. Some people are a lot smarter and talented than I. Nice bulls for sure! -

Spent Friday and saturday chasing bulls around. They are all bugling and answering pretty much every call, but not coming in. The just work their way away from you. Still a week or so early In my area, but it's been fun. Decided to hike out a different way last night and that was a bade idea...- Wyhunter

Headed up elk hunting for Friday and saturday. Elk were still pretty quiet. Only had locate bugles and bugles when I busted up herds.
