I only drive 20 minutes to work now, but my job has me driving 5-7 hours per day. Im definitely use to the windshield time. I just dont know about losing family time to buy property. Its becoming difficult to justify it through family conversations. I love the parts of northern Wyoming that I...
Thats an awesome story and accomplishment! My wife helped me pack out a bull a few years ago before she got sick. It will always be one of my fondest hunts.
I had one done last summer in Denver, along with the metabolic test. Surprsingly, my Garmin scale was spot on with all of its measurments compared to the DEXA. Super cool to do, with a lot of great information. Especially about the fat around your organs and differences in muscle mass on each...
Thank you for your insight. I believe cheyenne is better as far as a town goes for the kids, but a small farm other than shitty prairie grass, cost well above a mil here. Hard to live the kind of life I grew up doing here.
Outside of national parks, military installations, camp grounds, and landlocked areas, i am unsure of what federal lands youre talking about. Do you think you should be able to hunt wherever you want because you pay a miniscule amount in taxes? I dont understand your argument, but maybe Im...
The wildlife is managed by the State in the instance of Wyoming. Outside of a few federal grants, the money to run wyo game and fish, comes directly from the tags/points sales. I even posted pictures for those that dont like to read.
I appreciate the information. Its a lot to think about. Might take a drive up there and see what its like before making a decision. I grew up in MT and would love to get back there at some point in my life, but northern Wyo is a pretty nice second to that.
Each licensed resident would have to pay about $320 more to make up the 43 million dollar difference that the NR pay each year. It would have to come in the form of the conservation stamp or similar to get all sportsman. I wouldnt be opposed to paying that either. Shit, I would happily pay...
Thank you. I pretty sure Bridger is out of the question. Ranchester wyo seems to be the best bet. But driving 3 hours through a rez each day doesnt sound fun
My argument is that it accounts for a portion of conservation that shouldnt be overlooked or tossed aside. Where would conservation be without that 45+ million spent each year? Anyone who buys a license, does contribute, no matter how small the number and most likely they are indirectly...
In wyoming, licensing revenue is almost 60 million dollars. Most of that comes from NR tags/points ( around 75% of the total revenue). That 60 million accounts for about 65-70% of the operating costs for the WG&F. Of the total budget, 30 million goes back into different wildlife initiatives and...
