Just a couple of years ago mule deer in the part of region 7 that our biologist manage were at an all time high. In 2012 these numbers were very low after the bad winter. In 2020 there were 12000 additional muley doe tags issued due to the high numbers of deer. In 2021 it was less doe tags... -
Questions About Black Bear Hound Hunting in Montana
Allowing hound hunting for bears in the quota areas is going to close season pretty quick i would guess. I realize they close pretty quick anyway. I dont think it should be allowed in the limited areas.- teamhoyt

Ballot initiative to repeal HB637
An initiative needs to move forward, and needs to include keeping legislation out of wildlife management. Needs to also address controlling funding to the dept and limiting the power of the governors office over the management of fwp. It's time to let biologists do their jobs and get big time... -

At least you guys received your tags, I purchased tags for 2 of my daughter's and myself, choose the option to have them printed and mailed to me. This was the middle of March.
