I’ve caught a lot of big Char and Dollies in Alaska. Those fish look like they could readily reach 30 plus inches and weights in the teens. They just look like they want to kick someone’s butt.

I’ve had good luck hunting right up to the edge of the burns during rifle season. The fires are done growing but still plenty of hot spots. The Teepee butte fire was the best for us. Early rains produced quite a bit of green up. The elk were all over it.

One need only to look at the ADFG website to marvel at the once great rivers being reduced or closed to retention to recognize there is legitimate concern over most of Alaska. That POW remains viable is indeed a blessing.
