I think a good option is to try to get to 10 to 12 grains per pound for your arrows. For a broadhead you might look at the Magnus stinger two blade. You can get 100, 125 or 150 grain broadheads. They are easy to sharpen and if it bends or breaks they will replace it under their warranty.
Great advice Hank. I've been keeping track of mine because of family history. My Dr. seemed surprised at my concern's and seemed to want to blow it off but i insisted I wanted it checked every year. So far so good plus the Dr. is moving on and it's a crap shoot who replaces him. Our clinic only...
Hodgdon's reloading site also shows 6.5 Stabil as the fastest load for 140's. Has anyone tried it yet?
Anyone load for a specialty pistol in 7-08? Curious what you came up with. I have a Savage Striker in 7-08 just going to try to develop a good antelope/mule deer load with Nosler 140 BT.
Lets try to keep this going for a bit longer. I have 4 Shiloh Sharps currently, 1 40-65, 2 45-70's and 1 45-2.6 aka 45-100. I think a #3 30 inch octagon barrel chambered in 50-2 1/2 aka 50-90 would be a great hunting rifle.
Also a 257 Roy and a light weight 243 ai.
I had problems in the past finding my account. What happened I was using a 1 then area code on my phone number, when I deleted the 1 it has worked every time. Something simple like me caused the issue. LOL
Drew 700 with no points. My opinion bonus points were created to add to the budget for FWP and a joke on the sportsmen. I'll pay the ransom for sheep but so far I'm out some $$.
Ruger SBH Bisley come in 454 & 480. The hunter model just comes in 44 mag. currently according to their website. I think they had a Bisley Hunter distributer model in 41 mag. but that could be incorrect. Ruger has a large number of special runs for distributers in rifle pistol and revolvers...
