Which fletching jig?
I have a Jojan 6 fletcher with straight and helical clamps. Once you get adjusted it works fine. The best is the Bitzenbuger but to get 6 to do a half dozen at a time is pricey. Most guys get by with one jig, just be patient it takes a while. -

Did you shoot your first deer with open sights?
First deer was with Dads pre 64 model 70 270win with a 4x weaver. That was around 50 years ago. Dads been gone for 16 years but I still have that rifle. Every once in a while, I take it out hunting and know he is with me in spirit.- Dan O

As much as many folks here would enjoy such an opportunity it's just to much of a risk for you and your family. You have worked hard to make your cabin special. I agree it sounds like she is okay, but it is better for her peace of mind to know exactly what legal protection she has. Once she has the knowledge of the state law and her legal standing, then have the heart to heart with the kids. This way she can set them straight and dissolve any doubts...- Dan O

Should I buy a .338?
Neither does mine, it wears a 2x7 Burris and is always set on 2x. It's a bit heavy according to today's rifles but it has always performed as needed. -

Labradar in stock and on sale
I made the jump to the Labradar. I have a Oehler 33 and while it works it takes time to set up and is finicky to weather and light. I only have had my Labradar out one time so far. It sets up quickly and reads the shots each time. Plus, it gives reading from the muzzle and at three more...- Dan O

7mm-08 load data on the slow side
FYI the Nosler load data was with a 26 inch barrel, so a 22 inch would be a little slower on average.- Dan O
