I didn’t want to do a full body either. I did a lot of research and settled on this position with some rocks to make it look unique. I think it turned out great.
This is correct. I got the blessing from my wife and completely closed in my carport building a trophy room.
I have a rule that I don’t tell people where I hunt. In terms of tips for success get out there and scout find some good areas and be persistent. I think I was in my ground blind for 30+hrs over 3 days before I saw a bull. It was a cool hunt. Good luck.
I've had multiple Frontiers. They are great trucks. My next truck will be another one. When I am looking I do an autotrader search for the lowest miles truck with no wrecks that is in my price range inside of 500 miles. Then I go get it. If you're willing to travel a bit you can get a good truck...
I have a 45-70, 7mm08 and 300wm. Covers pretty much whatever. I like my guns to have specific purposes. I guess you just need to look at how you hunt if you really want a new caliber. What you have will kill a deer. I would say if you hunt in the woods a caliber like a 45-70, 30-30, 350 legend...

It’s going to be a while. I’m about to get on SEA-CHS flight which is about a 5hr flight and I’m not paying for wifi. I have a 2.5hr drive after that. I’ll write on the plane and try to upload while waiting for luggage.
As we came out of the mountains the weather improved some as the country opened up. We didn’t really have a spot in mind to hunt so we just started looking for caribou. There were a good many people hunting, but most of the folks had bows. We both preferred to find a place with fewer people so...
Sorry for the wait. I’ve been busy today. Taking care of meat and antlers, changing flights, cleaning the truck ect. Flight leaves at 12:46am and we have some time to kill so here it goes.
We landed in Fairbanks on the 14th along with all our gear, which is always a relief. On this hunt my...
