I suspect numbers have to be down after that wet spring and early summer. Now they are powder puff dry again. At least over on the eastern half of the state.
You have the American guns well covered. We shoot mostly English, one French, and now and again, a German gun or two. All vintage...
looks like a great day.
The tails on those birds look long. Are you seeing mostly old birds, relative to the last couple years?
Also, nice to see proper grouse guns. What are you and your partner shooting?
Judging distance is tough over uneven ground. Cross canyon looks longer than reality and behind a rise looks shorter. With my guns, it can be a BIG problem.
Grouse camp for me is a week or more out. I'm definitely enjoying your reports. Not sure where you are at, but I'll be up there somewhere as far north and you can go.

They are under contract with whom? The NCAA? Certainly, they can be and are punished for things on and off the field, but not fined - yet, so far as I know.
I did not see the presser, but I read about it, and that, among other things, got me thinking about this question.
Actually, from the quotes I saw and read, he talked out of both sides of his mouth about college sports. He said they were great and he said they were ruined. He did not quite...
So, in the Grand Scheme of Things, now that college players are openly professional, and quite lucratively at that, can they be fined like a pro player for delinquent behavior on and off the field?
