Most hunters I know don't agree with any set aside tags, raffle, auction or otherwise.
Don't conflate raffle tags as having support, they're just more palatable than a tag going to the highest bidder.
Who is this "we" you speak of?
I think a lot of hunters and wildlife beneficiaries have a problem with raffle, auction, LO tags and exploiting wildlife for money.
Arizona just shit-canned their auction tags for an example. Montana did away with outfitter sponsored tags. Wyoming has never had...
Was talking with the guy that rents my house who works at the district office this morning. Put 2 timber sales out for bid, not one offer.
That's a lot of work to go through to not get a bid.
Yeah, saw it the 8 years I fought fire from 87-94.
Also got tired of attending funerals of friends that died trying to save trees, brush, and peoples homes who wanted a house in the woods.
Again, I'm not much interested in risking lives to save a house.
Home owners should make sure they have defensible space and do some smart fire preparedness ahead of time. Its not the job of wildland fire fighters to risk their ass to save a house.
I agree, there's no reason to ban you. Anyone that can't handle the small amount of criticism some random knucklehead on the net hiding behind a screen has to say, well, they need to toughen up. Guys like you are a dime a dozen, all mouth, nothing more.
Oh, and for the record, the first time...
True, if you can bring your job along for the move to a cheaper place it can work in some cases.
I did that very thing in 2000, moved to Laramie because of housing prices back then (way cheaper here than Missoula). The difference in housing prices now between living in Laramie and Missoula is...
Church of the flying spaghetti monster is where its at...and I'm sticking to it.
What is this business about pirates, and the Beer Volcano, and Stripper Factory?
Religious texts tell us that humans evolved from Pirates. Consider that so-called “science experts” would have us believe humans...
Good luck, hope you find one you want.
I'll probably draw the rifle tag here soon. Depending on time, other hunts, etc. may consider a guide. Just a long time to wait to not stack things in your favor.
You need to drop a zero...It's 62k not 620K, big difference.
Try to keep up, I'm not in favor of large scale wind or solar, but you just can't seem to comprehend that. That's a problem for you to solve, I can't help you.
For the record many mine sites, oil, gas and coal mines areas on public...
So unless you can hunt it, then there's no wildlife value? You must really hate those pesky landowners that don't let you hunt, wildlife seems to feel differently though.
I've had fish shipped home VIA a known shipper with Alaska Airlines was just over $1 a pound IIRC.
I usually just bring it back as checked bags, but last year the processor was running behind so had to ship some. Wayyyy cheaper than fedex.
I really prefer the leupold dot, which I'm pretty sure they don't even make anymore. I looked through a firedot and didn't hate it, but never have shot one.
I wish Leupold would do one of two things:
1. Drop all the bullchit fancy/gimmicky reticle nonsense. About the only standard reticle they...
You've had 25 years or so to figure it out and that's my advice, figure it out before you draw the tag.
I guess sitting on trails and water is better than not hunting at all and even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while.
That wouldn't be my main strategy with that tag.
If you...
Humans being a positive influence is dependent on your management goals, both current and historical, including the influence Native Americans had on forests.
For a simplistic example, if you're running a logging business in the Black Hills, the management today is much better with the huge...
