    Another dumb deer b question?

I've been reading the 2022 regs on deer hunting and I'm a little confused. When I read the Deer B license section it says, "Deer B license allows you to harvest a deer in addition to the deer you harvest with your general license", but then says, "there is no order in which the general and Deer...

Dumb question on deer b tags.

So this is probably a dumb question, but I'm new to hunting so try to cut me some slack. I'm a montana resident and I got some out of state family that are thinking about coming up here for deer season. On the 2022-23 regulations a lot of the regions we want to go hunt say the "apply by" for otc...

For want of a .22LR today.

Th They are expensive and not quite as accurate out past 80 yards as a 22lr but I would eventually check out 22 or 25 cal pcp air rifles if you want to continue to hunt half way near other people. They are silent and have plenty of stopping power for anything under 10lbs.

Spotlight or thermal/nightvision? Coyote’s after my dogs.

Others have said the same but I would get a red light. Amazon has some cheap ones that mount to your gun. Not high quality of for coyotes they will do fine.

    Anyone here eat jack rabbit?

I haven't eaten them but I have shot a few. My friends and I were going to cook some rabbit Stew but the rabbits were overrun with ticks to the point no one want to touch them. This was summer time during a heat wave and I've heard to wait for winter for most of the ticks to die off. Just...

    New predator gun

Personally I stick with 12 gauge, 223, and 308. None are the best but I can't bring myself to buy a caliber that cost twice the price of others.

    Spot/stalking a coyote

I got a remington 700 in 223. Can't wait to coyote hunt this spring.

Not sure your regulations on baiting but I would imagine they would make good coyote bait.

    Chest Waders for Waterfowl

I have the Patagonia pants style waders for fishing. If your not going in crazy deep I would highly recommend. Much more comfortable than the classic chest waders and if it's not freezing much easier to stay cool.
