5 mile squares. It seems like if I open the area while I have service and then go offline it’s fine, but if I open the map while I’m already out of service I can’t see the red lines for private
Been running onX for a year with no problem...it’s been the main ingredient for me scouting in the pieces of state land I hunt in NY. But my last trip out I had an issue with the app.
When I’m in offline mode (running saved maps) I cannot see the private land lines. I have the layer turned on...
Checked my camera behind my cabin. Only been there a week but I got some action. Had to make sure it was working..
Don’t love seeing that coyote with all the fawns I’ve seen running around.
My mentor and the owner of the camp I’ve been hunting out of since I was a child lost a freezer full of backstrap a couple years back. Haunts him to this day.
Breaks my heart to hear this kind of story!
A buddy of mine just called me today. He bought 40 acres of remote vineyard land around willets (northern Mendocino county). I told him that I’ll have to look into the blacktail hunting. Sounds like he may have found a nice little gem.
Looks like beautiful country out there. Not sure how the...
I’d like to keep my strategy simple. As an eastern guy, I don’t see myself hunting every state out west. I’d like to have 2-3 that I get to know over the years. And have ample opportunity.
I’m thinking of adding Wyoming elk into my plan. That way my point strategy is WY and MT then I see ID as...
Thanks for this! I realized after I bought the deer bonus that I could’ve settled for the pref point, as I really only want general tags. You’d keep the MT elk bonus point as part of the strategy?
If you were a newbie and could only build points for 5 tags what would they be?
This is my first year building points and so far I’ve gone for MT deer bonus point, MT elk bonus point, WY deer, and WY antelope. I don’t have a 5th yet but after this thread I may....
Keep in mind that ideally...
This is really helpful. I was feeling a little discouraged from my decline in performance. I will take all these tips and keep at it. Hopefully I’ll be ready for the tree stand this season
I was fitted at a pretty well respected shop. I was shooting in his 3D range at a moving deer target. It was more of a messing around kind of shot and the rush led to the foreman slap. I did make a pretty good shot though :ROFLMAO:
Hey guys,
I just picked up my first compound this weekend and got a couple hours at the range for instructions. I did smoke my forearm (rocking a beautiful bruise this week) which may have me a little gun shy.
I shot well at the range and was hitting vitals on a 3D deer consistently. The next...
Honestly, that’s why I’m leaning toward a deer hunt. A little more adventure for the first trip out.
If we do an antelope hunt we would like to at least have two buck tags and a doe tag between us.
