Lightest Bestest Tripod For Sitting w/12x Binos Only
I really like my Vortex Ridgeview. It wasn't insanely expensive and the movements could be a little smoother, but it's crazy light and sturdy. I use my GPO 12x binos with it. RIDGEVIEW -

I would try checking out the black hills in unit 23. The hills are a few miles north of Fuller Rd. I hunted there at the beginning of the year and saw quite a bit of fresh bedding areas and chewed-up cactus. The sucky thing about that hunt is that the winds were insane every day. The roads can definitely be pretty treacherous here. The best roads I have seen are down South in the units close to Texas and Mexico, and even those were pretty bad. I would call ahead of time like three times to check that they have a good enough truck ready for you when you get here. I made... -

I wouldn't put too much worry into your hunt. The forest service guys out here work pretty quickly when things like this happen. They have been opening a lot of areas back up since the fire happened. The good news is that we have been getting quite a bit of rain over the past month or two... -

2022 New Mexico draw results!!!!
I'm excited for my hunts this year. I got ELK 12, DEER 16, and BARBARY 32 34 36 37. The only concern I have is that my deer and elk hunts are at the same time. This means that I'll have to plan this year's hunts out to the T. I plan on scouting out pretty early so. Hopefully I see some animals...- mstep23
