On way home, 22 hrs, to KY after hunting 2nd rifle. Hunted hard from sat to wed. Saw 1 buck that wasnt a fork. Hunt was TOTAL letdown. Saw 1 dead buck in a truck. I thought i finally drew a good tag after 10 years of applying in NM and WY for everything. Disappointed is understatement. Temps... -
what gauge for rabbits?
It matters how close shots are. Most shots for me are in thickets. Shots are usually 10 yards. I use a Rem 1000 youth model with 2.75", 20 ga #6. Shot up rabbit with every leg bone broke in pieces and dark spotted bloody meat aint worth eatin- beaglegun

We got 24-2 licenses on 2nd choice and we lined up some private land b4 hand. Not what i wanted but it just gets harder and harder to draw anything worth the drive nowadays. I assume we wont have any problem finding 3 average bucks and a bunch of prairie dogs? -

#1 concern with beagles is them runnin deer. My beagles eat raw deer all fall and winter and I see no relationship with eating deer and runnin deer.- beaglegun

That cant be accurate because if thats true, it is way better draw odds as a party because if one person is drawn, the rest in the party are drawn. Wyoming adds quotas to accommodate party draws.- beaglegun

I called WGFD and the girl couldn't grasp what I was asking. I finally gave up. When I look at draw data from last years random draw and the quota is 3, and there were 8 first choice applicants, one would assume the draw odds are 37.5%.
