The article says it was all free roaming on the ranch. The only time I could find anything about high fence was from comments from people on various websites. There is a comment talking funds being used to fix a boarder fence which may be getting people confused or just jumping to conclusions...
I've watched some of her shows for a couple years now. She hunts a lot of diff game all over the world, some very interesting hunts. I remember last year when she was going to be on Nat Geo and people went crazy over it. For some reason it just seems like she is picked on by the antis.
If it's fake then there's a lot of news agencies fooled by it. What makes me think it's not fake is that their wildlife agency has been out there looking for it. Not sure a lady randomly posting a pic on her FB page would go through all that for a fake pic, but you never know these days, people...
Not sure what to think of this other than ouch. There's a few more pics out there of it.

Another thing about most of these is you can get them brand new off ebay. Paid $150 for my InReach new in box. Then got the seasonal 4 month plan which was $160 and I get 40 texts a month and any extra texts are .50 cents. Just another easy way to save some coin. I'll use mine 5 weeks a year for...
Seriously? You want to argue w/me over whether having a SOS button on a sat phone is beneficial or not? If you don't think they are that's fine, but no reason to try to stir up an argument over it and derail the thread. Believe what you want, I personally thing it's a nice feature to have.
Yep, a lot of plans the incoming sms message is free but outgoing plans range from .50 to $1 per depending on plan you choose. 160 characters is what my inreach is too. If you get a message that is over 160 characters then it will break it up into multiple texts. A lot of the sat phones(prob all...
A Spot or InReach will work fine w/an emergency. With any of these devices you're going to have a possibility of issues. There's been numerous instances of people getting helped with a Spot(or InReach).
Just below the review that you posted about that PLB was this review.
It is a very high...
I have the inreach for andriod. I get the 4mth plan which gives you 40 texts to/from someone a month and extra texts are 50 cents each. It works pretty good, and people at home can track your movements w/the plan too. Also has topo maps if you ever wanted to use them. The only issue w/it is that...
I do something similar to this, but use Google Docs. First sheet has gear listed w/the prices I paid, 2nd has gear w/weights, 3rd has food broken down by calories, 4th has state tag prices, PP, unit I'm hunting info, and any other info. Works great when you can just pull it all up at once.
I've mentioned something like this on other forums when talking about WY. Here in MO our Dept of Conservation(our version of fish and game) is not only funded by licenses, permits, etc. But 1/8 of a cent of all sales tax also goes to them. Last year that tax alone brought in the MO Dept of...
Do they sell out of the left over NR elk/deer combo licenses? I was under the assumption that having those left over was part of the reason they are losing money or am I misinformed on that?
If it was EHD then it'd have to be a very, very severe strain of it for them to die over night like that. Which it could be, but typically death from EHD happens around 4 days to a week after being bit. They lose their appetite, they'll get ulcers, have a fever, and start salivating. And every...
Me too, kind of like in one of the earlier posts, just crunch down and only let your feet be on the ground. I think what Oak is referring to is that is you have more points on the ground then it gives more routes for the electricity to get to the ground instead right through the vitals. Where as...
