A few years back we started getting them in MO. They moved up from Arkansas once they cross over you wont be able to stop them, unless you call in the military to drop bombs all over the place. Here in MO you can hunt them but they prefer you not to. Conservation Dept prefers trapping/removing...
Wow, a little upset. The "don't like it, go hunt another somewhere else" comment possibly the most worn out comment on these forums. Maybe you missed this part of my post "They are caving to a group of residents who feel there are too many NR, which fine if you want less NR then do your share to...
Change is fine, but the reality is this really has nothing to do with management. They are caving to a group of residents who feel there are too many NR, which fine if you want less NR then do your share to make up for the loss income. However don't present it as a management tactic because the...
Drew 75-1 tag, was going to put in for 73 but the warden and the boy who is only 2 will be going with me and I figured they can hang out in Casper while I'm out.
That's about the only thing you can do if you want to try to get something to change, as with any product or service you speak with your wallet and eventually after enough people do it someone on the other end will listen. I'll still hunt in Dec like I always have but I can see how not being...
From what I've read and I'm sure I may be missing some things. The Rs feel that the NRs being able to buy an archery tag basically otc and use that tag to go hunt premium units that would take an R wanting to hunt those premiums units with a rifle years and years to draw. It would take NR even...
Yea to be clear they haven't cut NR archery tags(yet). They are still unlimited and you just have to "apply" by Aug 1. They just cut the season. Anyone who "applies" for a nr archery tag still gets one just like before. You just can't hunt in what many consider the prime archery month on public land
I'm not 100% sure but the applying is not the issue as you always had to apply and where guaranteed a tag. The only thing now is you have to do it by Aug 1 instead of just at anytime. There is not mention of changing in tags allocations so it appears NR will still be guaranteed an archery tag...
I'm sure there will turn into a big heated debate at some point but I don't see how changing the NR archery season dates will effect your R draw(rifle specifically I believe??) unless they change the number of allocations of the R draw or change the draw itself. I think resident's actually can...
Was going to put this in the SD state specific forum but doesn't seem to get many visits, move it if needed please. And since there are a few SD nr hunters here who may or may not have see the changes here are a few of them.

No, however just because a property only is irrigating 100 acres doesn't mean their water rights wont allow them to irrigate more, if enough water is available or if they can even get water to it. We got a quick run down from one of the water commissioners on how water rights and such work since...
You just have to kill them humanely, although the "experts"(whoever they are) recommended methods are pellet guns, decapitating them, or stabbing them in the brains. Here you go. https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/florida/fl-sb-iguana-handling-issues-20180131-story.html I guess you use to be...
We have a winter home in Port Charlotte, I've seen a few while out and about, they say they are all over. Them bastards gets in your attic you have a big problem though. Also air guns aren't illegal in FL just an age restriction of 16 I believe. But I have heard of people killing and cooking...
RIP Mike. I still have a message with some from Topgun on in my PM box, it was from 2013. Was good info so I never deleted it in case I needed circle back to it again.
I have no reason to believe it's not legit, however I don't hold it against people who do. There are a lot of fake stories that float around the internet all the time with people looking to promote themselves. It all seems legit to me but I also wouldn't be surprised if later on down the road...
Commercialization of wildlife started decades ago, well before the internet even. It's the new normal now. Everything now is about views, visits, and collecting data. Wheter you agree or disagree its happened and is here to stay.
Nothing wrong with that. The very owner of this site puts hunting videos up on youtube for $$$$$$$$ and he if shot that animal or something similar I would hope he would do what he could to maximize his income potential. I will never fault a man or woman for trying to legally make money, whether...
Exactly, that's the world we live in now. If you can promote yourself or make money off it why not. You don't have to agree with it but it's his/her/their choice to do what they want. Some of the very hunting shows we watch, they build up anticipation to keep you watching and involved. This...
