D4570, there aren't any walleye nearby. The closest are a couple hours away at one of the ugliest lakes in the state so the motivation to fish there isn't very high. I pick up a few bass here and there, but again the best bass, crappie, bluegill place is almost 2 hours from here. It's prettier...
It has been a good fall. Here is just a fraction of the fun.
Cutthroat
Brookie in full spawn colors.
Rainbow
Tiger Trout
Another brookie, because why not?
Skinny cutty.
Toothy brookie.
Last, but not least another tiger trout from last Saturday.
I think this photograph turned out pretty awesome despite the fact that I'm in the middle of it to ugly it up a bit. Sometimes the colors and elements just all come together.
My obsession with brown trout began in Montana and continues in Southern Utah. I never get tired of landing these fish that act like sharks half the time.

That would really hurt if he clamped down on your fingers or hand. The first year I fished for these things I had one bite my hand while it was thrashing around. Let's just say it shreds skin in a big hurry. I've been a whole lot more careful since then.

Since moving to Utah I've become obsessed with catching tiger trout. Every time I let one go this darn song runs through my head. I thought perhaps some of you might enjoy a small glimpse into my obsession.

I lived just 20 miles from Great Falls in a tiny town called Belt for 13 years. I don't mind GF. It's close to great fishing on the Missouri River. Heck, it runs right smack dab through the middle of town. Once you get about 80 miles from GF the hunting improves in just about any direction...
I spent my day fishing for trout on opening day of Utah's deer season. I'm quite sure that I had more fun and more success than 90% of Utah's deer hunters. There are darn few deer left in Southern Utah. I'm glad the fishing was good. Things they are a cooling off. I spent almost as much time...
I'm stuck at work today really wishing I was kokanee fishing instead. For that matter I'd be happy fishing for about anything instead of being stuck inside these 4 walls!
