    Any zone with the Dec 2 to Feb 4 season sounds better than the Whites in Aug. Zone 10 had 403 max pts applying for 5 tags last year. Drawing odds have slowly improved since the pt system started 21 years ago.

    Well - It is a 2 edge sword. More hunters gives us more pull in the politics of hunting. I did see that B tags have been selling out in August. Still a few zones that don't fill the quota. Archery only tags let you hunt a lot. California does need to shoot more bears.

    I have joked for many years that one needs a hunting and fishing attorney in order to understand everything ya' need to know. The Idaho regs have gone from bad to worse in recent years. Even more so for the NRs.

    Same number of tags - Just made NR deer hunters chose 1 unit. Not sure how that changed hunting pressure a lot. It does seem like more NR and resident hunters are now retired and can hunt the entire season.

    If I were a NR, I would hunt another species in Idaho each season, bear, deer, elk or archery antelope, and put in for a S/M/G tag.
