Sept = dove & teal, pigeon October = pronghorn nov = mule deer and white tail, only in Texas and Mexico dec & Jan = ducks and speckled belly geese on the farm lakes elk probably never again due to the wacky drama with F&G , locals , ect- S-3 Ranch

Yeah their ok , it’s so dang hard getting them packed out and on ice in 90-105 weather, the hams and backstraps are good soak in pineapple juice and al pastor spice and make tacos shoot some lambs and cook cabrito style- S-3 Ranch

I have built some guzzlers and they where done like this 1 . Roof with slope to gutter 2 gutter to holding tank 500-1000gallon 1/2 buried under the roof 3 tank with valve connected to 3/4 poly pipe 4 pipe to buried flush or slightly above ground guzzler with horse float valve 5. cover...- S-3 Ranch

It’s really a conundrum, urban sprawl is terrible at ruining mule deer winter habitat, fire is great about showing where people shouldn’t build houses, get burned out collect insurance move into a city! build & live vertically in a city!- S-3 Ranch

Would anyone else care to give praise to the .308 ?
My 150 ttsx & tsx , running 3000fps = same performance as a .270 @400 meters, not saying much but these new monolithic copper bullets give a .308 a little more pepper @ range till 2000fps is reached -

Best thing about a .308 is I could find ammunition for it in 2020 & 2021 . Other than that it’s good for deer to 300 meters parent to 260 Remington & 7-08 -

Yeah fire is a double edge sword, short term no bueno long term fire creates new green growth and cover that support animals I know when we burn the ranch in Texas after a rain it exploded in new growth- S-3 Ranch
