Youth rifles
I bought my wife a Thompson Center venture in a 243. It’s a great shooting rifle, smooth action and the butt stock can be adjusted for LOP. My 2 nephews (8 and 10) shoot it very well. -

Hard to tell by the photo, but if there are oak trees, I'd find a well used trail in an area with lots of acorns. -
