I bought a 6 1/2 wide by 16 long v front, 6 1/2 foot tall and made it into a hunting trailer also. I had a Ice castle fish house, but after talking to the ice castle dealer....they are not made to be pulled that far he said. I insulated with 1" in the walls and ceiling and put 2 layers of...
I have a 2018 f 150 that won't take chains on the front. Decided I really wanted to have the option of chains. So I purchased some after market wheels with a different offset than the factory wheels. With factory wheels its was really tight (275/65/18 tires) with chains. New rims with different...
I just came back from their. Did not see any buck that I would consider "trophy" quality at all. Was a large ranch that had lots of antelope on it, glassed it just to see what was out there, nothing special at all. If you are looking for a book antelope good luck finding it in 21
And then there's the hunting partner who says I'm buying a truck to share the load......3 years and waiting for him to buy it......thinking maybe next season I'm just going by myself.
Bullet didn't expand, blew up and did what I call a body splash, not much penetration at all. Same with the other 6 elk/deer I mentioned. Took multiple rounds to do the job where one SHOULD have been enough. Without snow we would not have found the 1 bull elk.
after seeing how a 162 ELDX did on an elk there is no way I would trust a 175 grain ELDX. And I personally know of 6 other deer and elk that also had bad results. You need a better bullet
Yup you are probably right on the targeted audience, but why wouldn't you give a caliber the best barrel length to help it preform to its potential. Can't cost that much more to add 2" barrel length. But I suppose 2" cost adds up on thousands of rifles. Oh well I wish them well on their builds!!
I for one will not buy a gun/scope package. That is not enough scope for me. Its a nice short range scope but if it was a 4-14 or 3-15 I'd consider it for sure. A 24" barrel on the 7mm is NOT enough barrel length in my opinion. 26" would be a minimum for the 7mm and probably the 300 mag but I'm...
How deep are you seating bullets off the lands?? I had a rifle that would show really bad pressure signs when seating barnes bullets close to the lands. But was fine with a .070 jump or more
For the life of me I can't get accubonds to shoot in any of my rifles, 4 7mm rem mags, a 338 win mag, a 260 Remington and a 25/06. I have tried so many different powders and seating depths and boxes of bullets its not even funny. Yet I can put in a Barnes TTSX and get great groups. And the...
They told you that you could expect to be there 12-16 months. What happens after that?? I would finish where I'm at with that great job and hunt next season. You are only 21 and have many years of hunting ahead of you and possibly only a few months to make this kind of money?? What are your...
browning x bolt stainless stalker, POS, never did get it to group. 7 rem mag caliber, but maybe a Tikka t 3 lite in 25/06, never got it to shoot better than a 3 inch group at 100 yards, gun got sent back to factory, they replaced it with another that did 2" at 100 yards, down the road they all went
