I also know a guy who has his own lathe and does some barrel work. He uses Brux barrels on most of his stuff. He always bore scopes them before working on them. He got one and he said it looked terrible. He called Brux and they said try it and if it does not shoot we will replace it. It's one of...
I bought a proof pre-fit barrel and put on a savage that didn't shoot. Was very easy to find a load for ( I reload all my rifles).
I will shoot .50 groups easy and I have shot my best group (at 100 yards) with it. I sure will not hesitate to put another one on one of my rifles. The only thing it...
Been using Coleman Extremes for the last 5-6 years. Never been disappointed by them. 2 70 quarts coolers just fit perfectly in front of my wheel wells. Added a 150 quart this year. That one if full is a bear to handle but I have more tags to fill on one trip. I freeze 1/2 gallon milk jugs. Also...
I had a stainless stalker x bolt in a 7mm Remington mag. After many many rounds of ammo the it if finally came to the conclusion it was not a shooter at all. Got rid of it.
I agree with sneakypete, a good sock combo is a must. And the last couple pair of Kenetrek's I put their boot waterproofer on right away. It seemed to help and hardly any break in time was needed. Just go for a 2 mile walk in them to start, them work it up to 4 miles. You will know if they are ok.
I made my own this spring, a 42 x 42 inch x16 inch deep. I had some old plastic laying around plus some old plastic cheap tarps that I no longer used. Didn't have enough so went to menards and bought some 4 mill plastic in rolls to finish. I might have 80 dollars into it. I shoot victory...
Why is a single a nightmare waiting to happen?? I pull my fish house out west, single axle, I just make sure to have really good tires and 2 spares. Need to only check 1 set of wheel bearings instead of 2:)
Kenetreks uncomfortable while walking flatter more rolling terrain??? Thats a new one. I hunt both steep and flatter country, never ever had an issue. My hunting partner has both Danner and Kenetrek, and he says there is a huge difference in traction and stability between the two, he prefers the...
will be 61 this season. Last year I killed my first bull, was 6 miles back in, it was a long day with my partner getting it out. He's only 35, which helps me out a lot. I'm still recovering from that, bad back and something going on in my neck. If I draw a tag for that state thats probably the...
Its a hunting rifle and while I'm hunting I am always ready, in dark timber you need to be. To me the safety lever is whats at fault. It works or moves much to easily. Hunt how you want, there will always be a round in the chamber except in this rifle, unless I can get the issue fixed
I can put 2 70 quart Coleman extremes side by side right behind the cab of my f150---6 1/2 foot bed however. Its a tight fit but it is a perfect fit. My partner put a small bull boned out into a 150 quart Coleman extreme with frozen 1/2 gallon milk jugs in the bottom, one layer. A bigger bull...
Kuiu guide pants!! Nice and warm. But have side zip vents you can open when moving to dump heat/moisture. The fabric on the outside sheds snow so good you don't need gaiters. Spendy---yes but worth it
I bought a Ridgeline last summer in Rem 7 mag. Shoots very nice, I reload and wanted to use 150 grain barnes TTSX. I had a problem with it not wanting to eject the empty, found out it was hitting the scope cap and had to put a different base and higher rings on it to get the clearance to...
I use an AR to hunt coyotes here in the midwest, my go to rifle for it. You hardly ever get a standing shot the way we hunt (hounds) so a running shot is what you get. We hunt to do predator control, they are very hard on our deer and pheasant population. Landowners want them go and I don't want...
I have one rifle, a 338 win mag that I can shoot 100+ rounds without accuracy issues. I have 3 7mm rem mags and each barrel is different. One about 25 rounds, the other 2 at least 40 before I see accuracy issues and needs to be cleaned. My 260 can handle about 80-90 rounds. As far as speed, I go...
if 500 rounds down the barrel it to much my 260 should not be able to shoot 1/2 Moa, but it does and has and shows no sign of loosing any of its very fine accuracy
buddy just got rid of his tikka t3x in 7mm mag, would not group anything under and inch and was not consistent the next time you shot it. Magazine length was one of the limiting factors, very short magazine...
