    Yes, largemouth bass. That was one of several trips while we were down. The hat is actually an old Mule Deer Foundation hat I was given by a colleague several years ago to say thanks for some fish passage work I had done. I always like the message it sent, seems to help keep things in perspective.

    The second gen Ruger's are really nice, especially for recoil shy kids with the muzzle break. We have two now.

    Hybrid?

    Yeah thankfully it was in an area where you could kill either with the tag so no issues there. The local warden did come take some pics and samples. Pretty cool to walk up on when I shot him for a muley.

    Looks like a muley to me. A picture of the tail could have helped. Just for reference, here is a hybrid I killed a few years ago in Idaho.

    Double Up on AK moose

    Awesome job for everyone involved. Congrats to the whole group! It makes me want to get back up there more and more but it will have to wait until the kids get older. Until then we will keep playing with all the wildlife here. I've gotten two older friends both a moose here in the last week...

    Deer Head Stolen

    I've had everything from entire deer and elk stolen in the field to deer heads in the front yard. Not all stories are real and truthful but it does happen and it sucks when it does. Hoping they catch whoever it was.
