When I’m specifically after a fox it’s the 22wmr. 40grain hp. It’s a deathray. Coyote hunting jumps to the .223 or .243. 50 years ago I hunted all of them with the .222 rem. Still have the dies but no rifle.
I’m in AZ and the draw system here has become a disaster for residents IMO. Lots of pressure from out of staters who get the same preference points each year. The antelope draw will likely require over 20 years of points to be drawn. The elk draw is famously difficult also. I’d love to see out...
Although it does seem to have some my no or traits I would associate with the red wolf I would say coyote. I live in wolf country out west and see our species all the time and they are quite different

This short video was taken by one of trail cams in Arizona unit 1 on 7/5/2023. This front bull likely became very large since they are just now rubbing their horns free of velvet.
My leg healed nicely. I have a massive scar and no feeling from the knee to the foot along the inside. I was always weight bearing. The big issue was concern of infection. The moral is keep those med supplies very close at hand
No thanks! I occasionally get a hiker or shed hunter on mine. I set up in pretty remote tough country. I got a couple of hounds this fall also. We have wolves so I don’t know if they were ever found
Ya I’m an old soldier. now retired. Ive had a lot of training thankfully. It saved me. But I was bleeding very severely and was applying high pressure when my son put the RATs on my leg. Still have no feeling in the leg unfortunately.
