Brook trout bait question
In high mountain lakes/ponds I've had good luck with spinning rod throwing small flies under a bubble float. They are usually hungry and not very picky.- jrabq

I used to have a Hunters Trailhead subscription and I liked the interface. Learned something new this year, the snow goose I shot last week had been eating what apparently are chufa nuts. His craw was full of these and they were all cracked in half. I also shot a mallard that had a couple of these in his gullet, but still whole. These nuts were/are cultivated in Europe...- jrabq

Limit is supposed to go from 1 to 3 next year, hope I can cash in on that a few times. There are sometimes 1000's of them at the "pintail spot", but getting shots is not guaranteed.- jrabq
