    3 STATES IN 4 DAYS

    Spent my four free days casing birds. One of the days we got 3 man limits of quail in two different states with a bonus rooster. Love this time of year.

    I actually always shorten the stocks on my 870. 13 1/2" trigger pull. It helps me with mounting the gun quicker.

    It's not hard to shoot well if you only take high percentage shots. lol

    I always shot a 12 gage for years. Now I only use it for waterfowl. The 20 gage is way easier to carry and shells are smaller. Kills birds just like a 12.

    That's a great idea. I might have to try that. It kills me to hunt where you can only have 3 shells. I know guys that love their O/U or S/S but I'm just not one of them.

    That's me. I have shot an 870 for the last 39 years. I can shoot it as fast as any semi auto. I have killed 5 individual birds on a covey rise quite a few times. I've tried to switch to other shotguns over the years but I have never shot them as good, so it's always back to old reliable. lol
