I still keep a check register and also do online banking. I always cross check my entries with what the bank shows. I still carry a decent amount of cash and use that instead of a card every time I turn around.
I totally understand what you are saying. My wife has two brothers that live in Northern California and they come over to Reno for three days so it works out as a mini family vacation for all of us. I don’t think I would be going every year if it wasn’t for that.
Congrats on your new Vette. You only go around once and I always have felt a corvette was a must. I had a couple back in the 60’s and 70’s and kick my self every day for not hanging on to at least one of them. Enjoy your new ride.
I have a Remington 1100 I bought when I got out of the service in 1972 and still pheasant hunt with it every year. It is heavier than hell but has treated me well for over 50 years.
I agree with Npaden, buy some land and hang on to it as an investment. I bought a chunk of ground 37 years ago and my only issue now is how to limit my capital gains when I decide to sell. An old farmer told me way back then to buy land, they don’t make it any more. lol
