    I shot a few dozen deer and antelope with a 243, can't really think of many that needed a double tap. Even a couple elk, that died with one shot.

    Thats a tough one, sentimental vs a tool. I will say that my favorite heirlooms are old M70/M700/721 rifles passed form my grandfather/dad to me. I just couldn't warm up to a SS plastic rifle as much.
