2022 hunting officially over.

Filled my last tag for 2022 this morning. Pulled a Cousin Eddie on this bird in my yard. We call it "Harvesting"
20 minutes later the birds are back in the yard.

This morning will be spent getting him prepped and into the brine for New Year's Eve dinner.

Waiting until the end like that is the best way of keeping the yard birds fresh.

Congrats, he’ll make for a nice dinner. No more turkey season here. I can hunt pheasants here until February 27th, but by then they are few and far between.
