So our archery deer starts for 2009 tomorrow. I shot a small buck this past September with my bow. I have 11 points in AZ for general deer, decent chance to draw in 2009. I saw a buck tonight that isn't great but decent I'd say. There is a good chance I could shoot him in the A.M.

So my question is do I try and end it or not? I apply in pretty much every Western state for muleys. So there is a chance to pick a good tag up outside of AZ.

Here is the buck.

If I were you I'd wait, but it it was ME...thwack! Reason being, I haven't killed a muley with a bow.

Had him at 90yds this morning, couldn't get closer as they had me pinned. He's a little better than the pics show but not much. I may go out and look for him this evening (a long 10 minute drive from the house). There are some coues deer that need to be looked at as well this weekend as well.

Mostly just like to be out there and having the option to shoot or not.

We were not alone in the hills this morning. The three stooges that came in behind us should have all been wearing rainbow afros and big red shoes. Needless to say, I'm guessing the buck won't be in the area for a few days.

Taking tomorrow off to go to the Cardinals home playoff game.

.....Taking tomorrow off to go to the Cardinals home playoff game.

Cardinal's home playoff game....Does that all under the "once in a lifetime" category?

I hope they suffer a kinder fate than what will probably happen to my beloved Vikings on Sunday.
